RALLIES 101

  • On the Princeton campus, make sure you don’t use chalk on any surface

  • You can lean signs against building or trees but you can’t use tape

  • You will probably be filmed so make sure you stick to the facts – don’t say anything you can’t substantiate

  • Avoid swearing because there may be young kids within earshot

  • Focus your speeches on the climate and your specific goals – ad hominem attacks on those in power won’t help your organization or the cause

  • Be aware that Princeton is an open campus so people other than students may come by and/or interrupt or try to participate

Princeton University is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of Lenapehoking and the Lenape people. We pay respect to Lenape peoples past, present, and future and their continuing presence in the homeland and throughout the Lenape diaspora.
